The Four Seasons rebuilt its wellness floor in 2025 and kept the best thing it ever had: a 50-foot pool ringed by Roman columns and a skylight, the kind of room that makes a Tuesday swim feel ceremonial. The sauna sits just off it, part of an 8,000-square-foot spa and fitness spread that guests can use without booking treatments — rarer than it should be at this end of Michigan Avenue. Add a second, separate lap pool and a fitness program overhauled by Harley Pasternak, and it's the most usable luxury wellness floor in the neighborhood: no gatekeeping, no appointment arithmetic, just take the elevator down in a robe. The hotel above remains the Gold Coast's definition of comfortable money.
