1 / 8The quietest good sauna in central Berlin. Das Stue is the old Royal Danish embassy on the edge of the Tiergarten — a 1930s building, seventy-odd rooms, animals from the Zoo visible from some windows — and its spa is deliberately modest: a Finnish sauna, a steam room, a pool, run with Susanne Kaufmann products and almost never busy. Nobody is here for a circuit; they are here because it is calm and the hotel is one of the nicest in the city. Take it as a small perfect afterthought off the pool rather than a destination spa.
