The Ned turned a vast former bank into a buzzing, slightly theatrical hotel-and-club, and its wellness offering lives partly down in the old vaults — sauna and steam among them — which is about as London a place to sweat as exists. The spa is part of the Ned's Club world, so the energy is more social and scene-y than monastic, but the facilities are real and the setting is unforgettable. Upstairs, the rooms are richly decorated in that maximalist Soho House-adjacent style, and the ground-floor hall of restaurants is a genuine spectacle. It's better value than the Mayfair five-stars and a lot more fun, if fun is what you're after. Spa access can be members-first and may carry a fee for hotel guests, so confirm the arrangement — and the vault hours — when you book.
